Three of Canteloube's Chants d'Auvergne, including the inevitable 'Baïlèro', lead to the climax of this 'Los Angeles group', Ravel's Vocalise en forme de habanera, a lovely performance of a very challenging piece...Gardner and the Academy accompany discreetly throughout, and the sound is fine."
