The Naxos Deutsche Schubert-Lied Edition presents all Schubert's Lieder, over 700 songs, grouped according to the poets who inspired him. This final volume in Naxos's acclaimed edition includes a number of fragmentary works, some completed by Pater Reinhard van Hoorickx. Schubert intended these songs to be accompanied by instruments other than the piano, also included are fragments and drafts for songs which are heard sometimes exactly as they have come down to us or in subsequent completions. Also featured are alternative versions and arrangements of previously recorded songs.
