Neeme Jarvi and the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra were very busy between 1986 and 1993 recording all of Grieg's music with orchestra (whilst still working to their hectic performing schedule!). All those recordings have now been collected together for DG's Collectors Edition series, and what a fine set it makes. The perenially popular Piano Concerto, Peer Gynt and the Holberg Suite are all included, with works that are perhaps less well-known but just as charming, like the Concert Overture In Autumn.
