"In the later trios the Beaux Arts Trio catches beautifully the leisurely, almost improvisatory feel of opening movements such as those of Nos 14 and 18, while the more exuberant finales like those in Nos 19, 22, 25 (the famous 'gipsy rondo') and 27 have immense brio, wit and virtuosity, with ideally clean, crisp articulation from Menahem Pressler.
