Avie Records is an independent record label founded in 2002 by Simon Foster and Melanne Mueller. Over a short period of time it has built up an excellent catalogue of recordings which features a mixture of established artists such as Trevor Pinnock, Imogen Cooper and Michael Tilson-Thomas and emerging stars in the classical music firmament with the lilkes of . Avie's business model whereby the artist owns the recordings they make is a radical departure and its pioneering attitude is helping to redefine the classical music industry.
